Post Graduate Nursing Coordinator

The Nurse Coordinator Post Graduate Education is available throughout the year for advice and assistance with planning your postgraduate pathway.
Assistance is also available to help with any enrolment difficulties and with claiming of allocated funds at the end of each semester.

About Post Graduate Funding

Funding is provided for post graduate nursing qualifications as part of government strategies to increase the knowledge and skill of the health workforce and improve health outcomes for all New Zealanders.

This funding is for programmes which are Nursing Council of NZ approved and meet level eight requirements on the NZQA scale.

Eligibility:
• Be working as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner
• Be working in a setting that is funded by the DHB or Ministry of Health through Vote Health.
• Hold a current annual practicing certificate
• Be a NZ citizen or resident or Australian citizen
• Have evidence of support from your employer
• Meet the training provider requirements

Applications for funding are for the entire year following application and are open from early September through to 15th October.
Semester One funding is Allocated in December and Semester Two is allocated in April every Year.


Late applications will be placed on a waitlist and may be provided with funding at a later date due to withdrawals from study programmes.
