Education

Whangarei Hospital provides a regular and well attended Tuesday House Officer Lunchtime Teaching and Thursday lunchtime House Officer teaching programme. There is also weekly Friday lunchtime grandround, as well as specific departmental teaching.

All senior clinicians have access to generous Continuing Medical Education leave and expense provisions.

There is a very friendly, well-stocked library and good on-line resources available through hospital PCs (internet access, UpToDate, Medline, Cochrane, e-books including Harrisons online and selected full text online journals).
