Welcome to the Northland District Health Board web site. This site is
designed to keep you informed about health services in the district and
to assist you to access those services.
Northland District Health Board (DHB) is a Crown entity, directly
responsible to the Minister of Health for the funding and provision of
health and disability support services for the 150,000 people living in
the Northland district.
Northland DHB has two main functions: determining the health needs of
the community through planning and funding of services for the
district, and providing high quality hospital, health and disability
services.
We are proud of our district and the people we serve. Working in
partnership under the Treaty of Waitangi, our vision is to "Create
opportunities for improving health and wellbeing, and promote
independence for all the people of Northland".
This web site has been designed to provide information about:
- The range of services that we provide
- Planning and funding of services
- Current staff vacancies
- Primary health services in Northland
- The DHB's structure, vision and values
I hope you enjoy your visit to this web site and find it a useful source of information.
He aha te mea nui o te ao?
He tangata, he tangata, he tangata.
What is the most important thing in the world?
It is people, it is people, it is people.
