Dargaville Hospital

Dargaville Hospital is jointly owned by Northland DHB (52%) and the Kaipara Community Health Trust (48%). Kaipara Health Centre incorporates Dargaville Hospital and the Dargaville Medical Centre, as well as the Iwi (tribe) provider, Te Ha O Te Oranga.

The hospital has a 12 bed general ward and four bed maternity ward with all the supporting services and also provides a substantial community health service.

Hospital services include:

• 12 bed general ward
• 4 bed maternity ward
• supported by on-site laboratory, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy services
• Radiology services provided by a private provider
• Visiting consultants from Whangarei Hospital provide specialty medical and surgical services
• Dargaville Medical Centre provides 24 hour emergency cover
