Marsden Lodge 169 Donation to Renal Unit

Wednesday, 02 May 2007
The Renal Unit at Whangarei Hospital was presented with a cheque today for $3300 thanks to the members of The Marsden Lodge 169. The Funds were raised in a bowling tournament which the Lodge held in March of this year Members of The Marsden Lodge 169 - which encompasses Kaiwaka, Mangawhai and Maungaturoto areas - along with Renal Unit Management and Northland District Health Board staff attended the presentation at Whangarei Hospital.

Lodge Member Ray Holland said they had specifically chosen the Renal Unit, because of his friend who is a dialysis patient at Whangarei Hospital.

Renal Unit Management were delighted to accept the cheque on behalf of the Unit and in turn presented The Marsden Lodge with a framed certificate acknowledging their generous donation.

Manager of Acute Services Ada Schuler thanked the members of The Marsden Lodge 169 for their generosity and the hard work that went into running the tournament and for thinking of the Renal Unit when they were considering possible recipients
