Whangarei Hospital takes part in Exercise “On the Beech”

Whangarei Hospital will this week take part in "Exercise on the Beech", a multi-agency exercise to test emergency management proceedures in the Whangarei District.

The exercise on Thursday, 15 May, will be played out using "real" victims, who will be rescued from mudflats at Onerahi and brought to the hospital for treatment.  It gives emergency services and hospital staff an opportunity to test out procedures for dealing with a mass casualty situation.
