Media Releases Renovations to Ward 14, Whangarei Hospital Renovations to Ward 14, Whangarei Hospital
Monday, 09 July 2007
Extensive renovations are currently taking place at Whangarei Hospital's Ward 14, and members of the public are advised to follow the signage if they need access to the ward. The work is already under way and includes redesigning the reception area, painting walls and ceilings, replacing flooring and dividing the day room into two separate areas. The work will at times affect access to the ward, and temporary signage is provided to direct staff and visitors to the appropriate entrance.
There has been no reduction in the number of patients in Ward 14, a medical ward, while the work is carried out.
Mandy Bax, Clinical Nurse Manager for Ward 14, said: “The work is quite extensive and is likely to continue for the next two months. We are doing all we can to minimise disruption to patients, and we thank them for their co-operation. The daytime access point to the ward will change as the work is carried out, and appropriate signage will be in place to assist visitors.”
