Community Rehabilitation Service - Bay of Islands


The Community Rehabilitation Service is for people in the Mid North community aged 16 years and over who are in need of help with a neurological disorder such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, MND or conditions such as amputation, or are at risk of falls.

The team includes a nurse, social worker, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, dietician and speech language therapist. They will work with you in your own home to develop a rehabilitation programme with achievable goals.

Usually the service is accessed via referral from a health professional but a member of the public may refer themselves to the service.

Hours: Mon - Fri 8.00am to 4.30pm
Location: Community Health Services Building – follow the signs to the top of the Bay of Islands Hospital site. Parking is available near the building.
