Maternity Unit - Kaitaia

The maternity unit provides primary care maternity services in the Kaitaia area. When possible, husbands, partners or family members are able to stay during the labour and post-natal period.

While there are patients in the unit there is always either a midwife or registered nurse available. Takawaenga, chaplain, paediatric nurse and social worker are all available for support.

To access the service, make an appointment to see one of the midwives or just visit the maternity unit.

Hours: Mon to Sun 24 hours a day.
