Public health nurses work with the community promoting health, preventing disease and maintaining wellness.
They also have a partnership with schools to assist and support families, individuals and school groups toward self reliance in health.
They act as a referral agent and liaise and network with allied agencies.
Clients are referred through health and/or community service professionals.
Self referral clinics for adolescents are held weekly in Kaitaia high schools
Hours: Nurses are available during normal working hours
