Darren Manley

Chief Information Officer

Darren Manley grew up in West Auckland and studied maths and computer science at the University of Auckland.

He’s worked in a range of sectors including banking, insurance, foodservice, customs and travel. In 2005, having worked in England for ten years to broaden his experience, he set up home with his young family in Northland.

Darren was appointed to the Chief Information Officer role in 2014, and after 17 years at Te Tai Tokerau, is still passionate about the role that strong teamwork and critical thinking – underpinned by technology – can play in enabling an equitable, accessible and effective health system.

Darren’s happy place is anything that involves food, the sea or our unique New Zealand bush.
