Katy Wilkinson and her husband, grew up and started their family in Hawkes Bay. They moved to Wellington so Katy could do her Health Science (Paramedic) degree. Following this, Katy worked in Wellington as a paramedic for a number of years and then moved into management roles.

Having completed her MBA at Victoria University, Katy held a number of roles in other health settings including as Head of Logistics during the All of Govt response to COVID 19 and then General Manager, Ambulance Operations at Hato Hone St John, before starting with Te Whatu Ora.

With their sons now grown and living away, Katy and her husband moved to the beautiful far north in 2020 and love it here.

Katy is a passionate people leader who seeks to always keep the patient at the front and centre of decision making. She understands how life-changing surgical care can be and is focused on ensuring the delivery of our services is as efficient and effective as possible.

When not at work Katy is building her governance career and her happy place is sitting at her sewing machine or (hopefully) catching fish on their boat.
