Kia Orana

My name is May Seager and I live in Maungaturoto. Our family has lived there for nearly 20 years after living in many parts of  New Zealand. We love living in a small town but often feel disadvantaged because of it. Our family is a mix of different cultures-- Cook Islands, Maori and New Zealand Pakeha.

Our family has had and is continuing to have many dealings with the Northland District Health Board over the years. I hope that our experiences and the lessons learnt from them will benefit other Northlanders.

I am on a number of advisory groups throughout the region and on a national basis.

My work experience in Te Tai Tokerau includes 7 years with RNZ Plunket Society in a community role and 5 years as manager of Fale Pasifika Te Tai Tokerau (also known as Northland Pacific Islands Charitable Trust).
