5 to 11-year-olds

Let's get back to doing the things we love

-  COVID is very infectious
-  Parents and caregivers have the opportunity to protect their tamariki aged 5 to 11 against COVID-19, by being immunised with a child (paediatric) formulation of the Pfizer vaccine.
-  The vaccine used for tamariki is a children’s version of the Pfizer vaccine, with a lower dose and smaller volume.

Northland Specific Information for 5-11 year olds

There is a dedicated booth at the Te Whatu Ora Kaitaia, Kerikeri, Whangārei and Dargaville vaccination clinics for children 5-11 years of age.  Check with your GP, local pharmacy, Māori Health Provider and Iwi Providers who are also providing this service in the community.  Bookings can be made via BookMyVaccine

A parent, caregiver or legal guardian need to accompany their child to their appointment(s) as the responsible adult and be able to provide consent for them to be immunised.
