Liz Inch,

•    No new confirmed or probable cases notified in the past 24 hours
•    Northland has 27 confirmed or probable cases (25 confirmed - 2 probable)
•    One confirmed case of COVID-19 remains a 'stable' condition in Whangarei Hospital
•    10 cases have recovered, 17 cases are currently self-isolating in the community
•    Confirmed cases include 8 Māori, 18 European, 1 other

As at 8am today:

•    2,862 tests have been carried out in Northland to date
•    2,141 tests carried out at the Community Based Testing Centres

Testing Centres are operating all weekend, no appointment requred. Anyone with symptoms of respiratory infection will be tested. This includes flu like symptoms; cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, head cold, loss of sense of smell with or without fever will be tested for COVID-19.  
  • Five of the eight confirmed cases of Māori ethnicity have now recovered.
