Plans to re-open Wards temporarily closed to visitors
Ward 1 at Whangārei Hospital and the General Ward at Dargaville Hospital are currently closed to visitors following some patients testing positive for COVID-19 last week.
Ward 1 at Whangārei Hospital will remain temporarily closed to visitors. However, provided there are no further COVID cases, Ward 1 will re-open to visitors from this Wednesday 27 July under the standard visitor policy (see below).
The General Ward at Dargaville Hospital will re-open to visitors from tomorrow, Tuesday 26 July, under the standard visitor policy.
The standard visitor policy is that:
A patient may nominate up to two people who can visit them during their stay in hospital.
Two nominated people can visit each day, at separate times of the day.
Visiting hours are between 11am - 8pm.
All visitors must wear a mask.
