Bay of Islands Marine Biotoxin in Shellfish Warning Lifted

The Ministry for Primary Industries today removed the marine biotoxin warning for the Bay of Islands area. Ongoing sampling of shellfish and seawater from around the Bay of Islands has determined that paralytic shellfish toxins are now at safe levels.

A warning is still in place for the North Island East Coast, Tolaga Bay to Porangahau coastline and the Pelorus Sound in Marlborough.
