Immunisation Coordinator - Well Child Youth & Clinical Service

The Immunisation Coordinator’s primary role is to work towards decreasing vaccine-preventable diseases in Northland through improved immunisation coverage by offering appropriate, accessible immunisation coordination to Northland Immunisation service providers for example GPs.

The Coordinator acts as a resource to other nursing professionals, immunisation service providers, and children and their families. The Coordinator is able to give up to date, accurate information on immunisation that promotes informed decision making and works closely with allied health professionals and community groups and schools throughout Northland.

The Coordinator also works with midwives and general practitioners to enrol and track babies born with Hepatitis B surface antigen and their mothers encouraging the completion of recommended immunisations.
