Free Contraception Clinic - Kensington Health Hub
This is a free clinic where we work with you to provide contraception that suits you and your lifestyle.
We offer:
- Contraception counselling – we can help you explore the best option for your contraception needs.
- Jadelle insertion and removal – these are two small rods which are inserted just under the skin of your arm.
- IUD insertion and removal – these are either hormonal or non-hormonal devices that are put into your uterus.
- Oral and depo provera contraception – we can offer the first dose of pills or injection if this is what you decide on.
All contraceptives and services in this clinic are free for women who are New Zealand citizens or residents and live within the Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau district.

Sexual Wellbeing Aotearoa (formerly Family Planning)
These clinics provide affordable, confidential, non-judgemental sexual and reproductive health care. They have a range of clinical services to help you with your sexual and reproductive health and wellbeing needs. The service is free for under 22-year-olds, community service card holders $5 and no community services card $35
