Northland Youth Health Services offers free, confidential, non-judgemental healthcare for all 12-24 year olds throughout the region.

Provided by Te Whatu Ora in Te Tai Tokerau, the service is a ‘one stop shop’ for young people and offers assessments, advice, tests and treatment for a variety of issues such as:

  • General health and wellbeing
  • Specific concerns such as sore throats and skin conditions
  • Mental health support
  • Drug and alcohol issues
  • Quitting smoking
  • Sexual health including contraception, as well as screening and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STI)

Young people can access Northland Youth Health Services in two ways:

  • School-based clinics are held at high schools, colleges, area schools, kura kaupapa and alternative education sites throughout the region.
