General Ward

The general ward provides 12 bed hospital-level care.

The ward includes a palliative care/family room.

Emergency care is provided after hours and delivered by a local GP or hospital doctor based on a triage system. The ward includes a fully equipped resuscitation/emergency room.

Other staff you may see during your stay include laboratory technicians and allied health professionals such as social workers, physiotherapists, or occupational therapists. Other people who you may meet, if you would like, include the takawaenga (Māori health liaison), the chaplain, and St John volunteers.

Visiting Hours

11.00 am to 8.00 pm.  

If visiting before 4.30 pm please enter via the front entrance to the hospital.
