Maternity Service

The Maternity Service provides antenatal and postnatal care to families in the Kaipara. It arranges appointments for ultrasound, blood tests, obstetrics, physiotherapy, mental health and social workers. Referrals can be made to the well child provider and diabetes care. It liaises directly with Te Kotuku birthing unit in Whangārei.

8:30 am to 4:00 pm

After hours the 0800 phone is switched through to the Te Kotuku delivery suite in Whangārei, where a midwife is available to talk to you.

Between Dargaville Maternity Service and Te Kotuku, there is a midwife available to talk to you on the 0800 number 24 hours a day.

Location

Dargaville Hospital Main entrance, on entry turn left. The maternity service is located at the end of the main corridor on the right-hand side.
