Northland DHB Facilities Maintenance Procurement Panel

The Northland DHB is seeking suppliers for delivery of its response and planned maintenance in accordance with Government Procurement Rules. A Panel arrangement is being formed that will identify pre-qualified suppliers for delivering maintenance services across all Northland DHB sites.
The Panel relates to the purchase of facilities maintenance services specifically for the following categories:
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • HVAC
  • Mechanical
  • Carpentry
  • Fire
  • Asbestos
  • Building & General Maintenance (incl arboriculture, landscaping & lawns)
The following service categories will implement long term Maintenance Service Agreements (MSA) and be conducted under a different procurement process.
  • HVAC
  • Fire
  • Lifts
  • Security
  • Access Control Systems
A Panel will be established by way of an open Request for Proposal (RFP) process through the Government Electronic Tendering (GETS) website. Successful responding suppliers will be pre-qualified to service categories with a Maintenance Panel Agreement issued. For projects valued up to $250,000, a Statement of Works will be used to obtain quotes from the Panel suppliers in the appropriate category and award any work.
Where possible, category projects will be bundled for bidding opportunities to afford Panel suppliers the ability to acquire volume of work and Northland DHB to be better positioned to receive volume of work discount opportunities. The term of the Panel is for three years with one right of renewal for two years.
Proposed Timeline
The following table identifies the key milestones for the RFP sourcing and evaluation process.
We would like to invite you to a briefing on the panel and the proposed processes to be held at the Whangarei Hospital campus. Here you will have the opportunity to meet with the team and seek any further information you require. To manage the event please ensure that you rsvp to the below.
