Dr Jenny Walker

Chief Medical Officer

Jenny Walker is a graduate of the University of Auckland (UoA) School of Medicine. After working for a year in Northland as a House Officer she completed her specialist training in Auckland and Baltimore. She returned with her family in 1997 as the first Renal Physician for Northland and oversaw a huge growth in the Service.  She was Clinical Head of the Renal Unit until 2016 and has been involved in National Renal Committees.

Jenny completed a Master of Health Leadership at the UoA with a focus on quality and safety.

She was appointed as Clinical Services Clinical Director in 2014; Associate Chief Medical Officer in 2015; and Chief Medical Officer in 2021.
